GOV’T PREPARES FOR BREAKTHROUGHS IN 2019
The Government plans to make breakthroughs and beef up authority decentralization for ministries, agencies, and localities in socio-economic management in 2019.
So far, Viet Nam has accomplished 12 preset norms, especially the 7% GDP growth rate, the highest rate over the last decade. In addition, other records were set especially in foreign reserves, export, and trade surplus.
Noticeably, in spite of the high growth rate, Viet Nam still maintained macro-economic stability with low CPI, low budget deficit, and stable stock market.
Thanks to the growing trend in 2017 and 2018, the domestic economy was projected to grow at 7% in 2019 or even 7.06% following drastic reform determination, resulting in possible fulfillment of five-year growth target.
The Government is crafting Resolution 01 on key measures and solutions to implement the socio-economic development plan and state budget estimate for 2019 and Resolution to improve the business environment and national competitiveness.
Under a draft resolution 01 of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Government plans to make breakthroughs to speed up growth rates with nine groups of solutions and 42 specific measures.
The Government chief noticed the importance of raising a sense of national consciousness; mobilize national solidarity; and build the country in the period of difficulties and challenges.
