MALAYSIAN CULINARY AND PRODUCT FAIR (5-14 JULY 2019)
Windsor Plaza Hotel is presenting the wonders of Malaysia from 5 to 14 July during the Malaysian Culinary and Product Fair at Café Central An Dong. At its nightly dinner buffet, diners will be introduced to traditional dishes and product display, and a lucky draw with nightly prizes and a spectacular grand prize.
Guest chefs from the One World Hotel in Malaysia will be preparing a special menu of dishes from their homeland that will be available Monday to Friday for VND798,000++ per person including free flow German draught beer, juice and soft drinks, and on Saturday and Sunday for VND898,000++ including free flow of sparkling wine, German draught beer, juice and soft drinks.
There will be three different buffet menus presented on a rotating basis. Some of the classic Malay dishes on offer include biryani rice; mutton soup with spices; skewered grilled chicken, beef and lamb served with peanut sauce, compressed rice cubes, cucumber and onions; tiger prawns with chilli paste and petai; and pandan flavoured glutinous rice cakes rolled in grated coconut.
Preparing this feast will be chefs Amar Bin Abdul Rahim and Mohd Ghouse Bin Ishak. Chef Amar is Chef De Partie with One World Hotel, Petaling Jaya. Chef Mohd is from Georgetown, Penang, and brings with him extensive experience in the culinary industry, having worked in the region as a pastry chef for 30 years.
Windsor Plaza Hotel General Manager Mr. Adwin Chong said the rich traditions of Malaysia would be on offer during the fair, and provide an unforgettable experience for guests. “We are very proud that Windsor Plaza Hotel can continue to bring the world to Ho Chi Minh City through these wonderful events,” he said.
There will also be numerous booths present at the fair where guests can purchase traditional Malaysian products.
Café Central An Dong features a wide variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets. A local favourite, Café Central An Dong has vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, monthly promotions, and international and Vietnamese cuisine. An extensive a la carte menu and dessert selection is also available for dine-in or take-away.
