With 10 chapters and 96 articles, the Law on Corruption Prevention and Combat stipulates the expansion of anti-corruption activities in the non-State sector.

The Law on Việt Nam Coast Guard defines the role and position of the Vietnamese coast guard as the people’s armed forces and specialised forces of the State, playing a core role in enforcing laws, protecting national security and maintaining order and safety at sea.
It also stipulates the functions of Vietnamese coast guards, including consulting the Minister of Defence on policies and laws on national security and maintenance of maritime order and safety and the protection of national sovereignty and jurisdiction in Vietnamese waters.
The law also prescribes seven groups of tasks and 19 powers of Vietnamese coast guards, including international co-operation and coordination activities.
