The development of Supporting Industry (“SI”) is one of the most important solutions for Vietnam to improve the quality and competitiveness of the economy, develop sustainably and avoid the middle income trap. The Government’s objective in SI development is to promote the manufacture of SI products for domestic production and export, and participation in global value chains. In recent years, SI has been the spearhead prioritized for development of Vietnam’s industrial development policy, accordingly the Government has offered many incentive policies to promote stronger SI growth.
