[13-01-2010] Here below is the Draft Decree replacing Decree 108 implementing the Law on Investment , which received from MPI. It is planned that the consultation on the new Decree is held within Q1 - 2010 and the new Decree will be submitted to the government for review by the end of Q1/beginning of Q2- 2010.

[10-12-09] Dear HKBAV Members: Please be reported that our HKBAV 2009 Annual General Meeting and Election for Chairperson & General Committee Members 2010-2011 was successfully held yesterday.  We have the honor to invite the auditors from KPMG to tabulate ballot cast on the spot as well as the absentee ballots. [25-11-2009] Hong Kong Immigration Department has extended the e-Channel service to frequent visitors, FVC members are welcomed to apply for such service. Passengers who have visited Hong Kong via Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) three times or more in the past 12 months are eligible to apply for a "Frequent Visitor Card" and enjoy speedy immigration clearance.

[01-09-09] Here below is the draft of the revised Labour Code - Version 2 (only available in Vietnamese), which we have received from MOLISA. It is planned that the Revised Labour Code will be submitted to the National Assembly for review in May 2010 and for approval in October 2010.

[21-08-09] Dear HKBAV Members : As you are aware, the Typhoon Morakot which hit Taiwan has caused flood, landslides, gusty winds and power outages recently. The Council of Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce in Hochiminh has started a relief campaign in the communities to help victims hit by the worst typhoon in Taiwan in half a century.

[07.07.09] In May 31, the Vietnam’s Ministry of Health announced the first case of type A/ H1N1 influenza - “swine flu” found in Hochiminh City. Until the afternoon of July 6, Vietnam has detected totally 235 cases.

[22-06-09] The Hong Kong Immigration Department announced that with effect from July 1, 2009, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) passport holders may visit Russia visa-free for a stay of up to 14 days. Likewise, Russian nationals will also enjoy 14 days' visa-free access to Hong Kong.
