WELCOMING QIN XIANGYU (O’NEAL) AS HKBAV’S NEW GENERAL COMMITTEE MEMBER

The Hong Kong Business Association Vietnam (HKBAV) is pleased to welcome Mr. Qin Xiangyu (O’Neal), Chief Representative of John Swire & Sons (S.E. Asia) Pte. Limited – Representative Office in Vietnam, as a new General Committee Member of HKBAV.

O’Neal has served as Chief Representative of John Swire & Sons (S.E. Asia) Pte. Limited’s Representative Office in Vietnam since March 2026. In this role, he leads the Swire Group’s representative office and drives the Group’s business development and investment activities across the Vietnamese market.

O’Neal joined the Swire Group in 2012 and has more than a decade of experience across multiple Group businesses. He began his career with Cathay Pacific Airways, where he held a range of management positions across Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam and the Chinese Mainland. During his time with Cathay Pacific, he gained broad experience across cargo, industrial relations and commercial functions, culminating in his appointment as Area Head of the Eastern China region.

In 2022, O’Neal joined Swire Properties, where he focused on investment, business development and leasing for the Chinese Mainland business. Prior to relocating to Vietnam, he was responsible for strategic initiatives and asset management across Swire Properties’ China operations.

O’Neal holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Cambridge.

With his extensive regional experience and understanding of business, investment and market development across Asia, HKBAV looks forward to O’Neal’s valuable contributions to the Association and to strengthening connections between the Hong Kong and Vietnamese business communities.
