ADJUSTED HN CONSTRUCTION MASTER SCHEME ANNOUNCED
Under Decision 768/QD-TTg, dated May 6, 2016 of the PM, the Ha Noi capital region consist of Ha Noi and nine neighboring provinces namely Vinh Phuc, Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Ha Nam, Hoa Binh, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen and Bac Giang.
Three provinces (Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen and Bac Giang) were recently added to the region, bringing the region’s total regional area from 13,000 sq.km to over 24,000 sq.km.
The adjustment targets to meet the demand for the development, and the management of planning and investment during the construction of the region with duty assignment, cooperation, sharing and linkage among localities.
It also ensures the effective distribution of national resources, limits the negative aspects of urbanization to the living environment, and the impacts of climate change in order to turn the region into one of prosperity with a sustainable environment.
The master plan is also the basis for drawing and adjusting provincial level planning, planning for belt roads, inter-provincial highways, specialized zones, the overall planning for urban areas, planning for new-style rural areas as well as overall infrastructure plan.
It is also the basis for creating a database for management, recommending policies and regional management models.

TRAVEL UPDATE: CAMBODIA INTRODUCES TEMPORARY VISA-FREE ENTRY FOR PRC PASSPORT HOLDERS (INCLUDING HONG KONG AND MACAU)
According to the Ministry of Tourism of the Kingdom of Cambodia, holders of passports issued by the People's Republic of China (PRC), including Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau, will be eligible for temporary visa-free entry to Cambodia from 15 June to 15 October 2026. The temporary measure is expected to facilitate tourism, business travel, and people-to-people exchanges between Cambodia and Chinese-speaking markets, including Hong Kong and Macau.
