[02-06-2016] Deputy PM Trinh Dinh Dung on June 1 joined a ceremony to launch Ho Chi Minh City- Kuala Lumpur direct air route. [17-05-2016] The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has proposed the Government renew and extend the visa waiver for citizens of five Western European countries from the current one year to five years and the visa-free stay from 15 days to 30 days.

[14-04-2016] The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) is seeking government approval to extend visa exemptions for Western European tourists. According to head of the VNAT Nguyen Van Tuan, the visa exemption policy for visitors from the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain will expire on July 1 this year so the administration has proposed extending the policy.
