CPI UP IN HA NOI, HCM CITY
[23-02-2016] The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in the two major cities showed a slight increase in February due to the high demand for goods during Tet holidays, according to statistic offices. Ha Noi Statistics Office reported yesterday that the CPI for Ha Noi in February rose by 0.47 per cent against the previous month and 1.73 per cent year-on-year.

RESOLUTION ON SIGNING TPP ISSUED
[03-02-2016] The Government has issued a Resolution on inking the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP). Accordingly, the Government approved the signing of the TPP and assigned the Minister of Industry and Trade to ink the Agreement with authorized representatives of nations joining the TPP.
EU PUBLISHES EU-VIETNAM FREE TRADE AGREEMENT
[02-02-2016] The European Union (EU) today published the full text of the free trade agreement between the EU and Vietnam. The step follows the conclusion of the negotiating process in December. It will allow all interested stakeholders to become familiar with the content of EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) well in advance of the domestic ratification processes both in the EU and in Vietnam.
JAN INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION PICKS UP 6%
[03-02-2016] Vietnam’s industrial growth is put at 5.9% in January against the same period last year, data of the Ministry of Industry and Trade showed. Some industries with significant growth last month were processing-manufacturing with 8.2%, electricity generation with 13.2%, mining with 4.2%, water supply with nearly 10%, motor vehicles with 16%, metal production with 14%, beverages with 15% and apparel with 12%.
HCM CITY BUSINESSES INVEST $3B IN CENTRAL HIGHLANDS
[02-02-2016] Over 200 enterprises from HCM City have poured nearly VND68 trillion (about US$3 billion) into 287 projects in the Central Highlands, according to the region's Steering Committee.
AMENDED INVESTMENT & ENTERPRISE LAWS PUT INTO REALITY
[14-01-2016] The amended Investment and Enterprise Laws were put into practice over half of a year with sharp increase in the number of newly-established enterprises and positive signals.
