FDI TO VIET NAM PREDICTED TO SURGE IN 2022
Việt Nam remains an attractive destination for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), which is likely to experience a surge in 2022 after a long hiatus due to the pandemic, according to economic experts.
AIR LINKS BETWEEN VIET NAM AND 19 COUNTRIES/TERRITORIES HAVE REOPENED SINCE PILOT FLIGHT RESUMPTION
A total of 19 flight routes between Việt Nam and other countries have resumed operations since the pilot programme to bring back international flights starting from the beginning of 2022, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Việt Nam (CAAV).
FOREIGN TOURISTS COULD SOON ENJOY VISA EXEMPTIONS AGAIN
If this proposal is approved, the visa policy could return to the status applied before 2020. Accordingly, people from 24 countries and territories could again enjoy visa waiver programmes, as well as e-visa for citizens from 46 other countries and territories.
FRESH INVESTMENT SOURCES REQUIRED FOR KEY RING ROAD
The route passes through the city and Binh Duong, Dong Nai, and Long An provinces and has the total investment of $3.6 billion. After nearly ten years of construction, however, only 16.3km has been built due to financial difficulties.

Funding into industrial zones is expected to be fruitful for the majority of the year, when the demand for land lease recovers and a range of contracts are completed.

Foreign direct investment (FDI) flows increased sharply right in the first month of 2022. This showed strong investor confidence in Vietnam's economic recovery prospects and expectations for another prosperous year, driven by this important capital inflow.
