DELOITTE: NEW DECREE ON WORK PERMIT FOR THE FOREIGNERS
[01-03-2016] The Government issued Decree 11/2016/ND-CP dated 3 February 2016 stipulating regulations on Work Permit applications, which will take effect from 1 April 2016. Accordingly, these new regulations would have certain impacts on the future assessment of Work Permit application, Work Permit exemption and Work Permit de-registration.

26 LAND PROJECTS IN HOAN KIEM PLANNED
[23-02-2016] The municipal people's committee has promulgated a decision on the land-use plan in 2016 in the city's Hoan Kiem District. Accordingly, the district will have 26 land projects, including 19 unfinished plans of 2015, and seven new ones. About 15.76ha will be allocated for agriculture, while 521.99 ha will be used for non-agricultural purposes.
CPI UP IN HA NOI, HCM CITY
[23-02-2016] The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in the two major cities showed a slight increase in February due to the high demand for goods during Tet holidays, according to statistic offices. Ha Noi Statistics Office reported yesterday that the CPI for Ha Noi in February rose by 0.47 per cent against the previous month and 1.73 per cent year-on-year.

NEW LENDING RULES TO HELP BANKS: MOODY'S
[17-02-2016] The State Bank of Viet Nam (SBV)'s recent proposals on tightening lending rules would benefit local banks, the rating agency Moody's said on Monday. The SBV early this month issued a request for comment on its amendments to Circular 36, which would set stricter rules on asset-liability management and on providing credit to the real estate sector.
