EXPORT TURNOVER HIT US$ 191 BILLION IN JAN-JUL

BANKS CALL FOR CUSTOMERS' CAUTION AGAINST CYBER ATTACKS
[13-08-2016] Commercial banks have called for customers to use caution when using telephones and the internet, as hackers may steal from them. This followed a warning from the State Bank of Viet Nam (SBV), which told credit institutions and payment intermediaries on July 30 that criminals could attack important information technology (IT) systems in Viet Nam.
ADJUSTED HN CONSTRUCTION MASTER SCHEME ANNOUNCED
[12-08-2016] The Ministry of Construction (MoC) announced the Ha Noi capital region that includes Ha Noi and nine neighboring provinces and around 21-23 million population. The MoC on August 11 in Ha Noi convened a ceremony to reveal the decision approving adjustments to the Hanoi Capital Region Construction Master Plan to 2030 with a vision to 2050.
HCM CITY REGISTERS GROWTH IN INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION INDEX
[11-08-2016] The Index of Industrial Production (IIP) in Ho Chi Minh City expanded by 7.05% in the first seven months of 2016. Notably, key industrial sectors, including mechanics-manufacturing, electronics, chemical-rubber-plastic and food processing, posted a year-on-year rise of 7.3%, higher than the common growth of industry as a whole.

[10-08-2016] State President Tran Dai Quang on August 10 received Managing Executive Officer and Regional Chief Executive Officer of ASEAN Marubeni Corporation Shoji Kuwayama. CAN THO ATTRACTS $175M IN FDI
[09-08-2016] Cần Thơ City has attracted US$175.7 million of foreign direct investment (FDI) capital this year, including a South Korean shoe-production plant that will be the largest FDI project in the Mekong Delta region.
