[03-06-2015] Textile and garment industries, as well as leather and footwear, recorded high growth in production and exports during the first five months of this year. The Ministry of Industry and Trade reported on Monday that in the first five months of this year, the textile and garment industry produced 118.2 million sq.m. of natural fibre (a year-on-year increase of 2.3 per cent), 287.1 million sq.m. of synthetic and artificial fibre (a year-on-year surge of 1.8 per cent), and 1.21 billion units of cloths (a year-on-year surge of 2.3 per cent).

[02-06-2015] Foreign industrial zone developers are leading the way in the development of eco-industrial parks (EIZ) in Vietnam. VSIP Nghe An is expected to kick off this September, according to Nghe An provincial authorities. This will be an EIZ to cover an area of 1,400 hectares with investment capital of VND3 trillion in the first phase of the project.

[01-06-2015] A credit package worth some VND20 trillion (US$952.38 million) will be released to support homebuyers interested in commercial and urban housing projects, reported Xay Dung, the Ministry of Construction's e-paper. The ministry made the announcement in a document sent to the government office, whereby it approved the lending programme suggested by the State Bank of Viet Nam.

[27-05-2015] On 12 May 2015, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) issued Circular 72/2015/TTBTC (Circular 72) guiding the priority enterprise scheme and related customs administration procedures. Circular 72 expands the scope of application to customs agents whose handle at least 20,000 customs declarations per year.
