COSMOPARK – ENERGY ADVANTAGES FOR POWER-INTENSIVE INDUSTRIES

As global corporations place increasing emphasis on energy security, renewable energy adoption, and carbon emissions reduction, electricity is no longer viewed merely as a component of technical infrastructure. For high-tech projects, data centers, and large-scale manufacturing facilities, reliable energy infrastructure has become a critical factor in investment location decisions.
COSMOPARK Eco Industrial Zone aims to establish a distinct competitive advantage through the development of a high-capacity energy infrastructure platform designed to provide a stable power supply and integrate renewable energy sources, supporting the long-term operational requirements of power-intensive industries.
HIGH-CAPACITY POWER INFRASTRUCTURE – A FOUNDATION FOR LARGE-SCALE INDUSTRIAL OPERATIONS
COSMOPARK is planned to be supplied by a grid power system with a total capacity of up to 1,000 MVA, comprising:
• Eight 220/110 kV transformers, each rated at 125 MVA.
• Sixteen 110/22 kV transformers, each rated at 63 MVA.
This infrastructure is designed to provide a foundation for a stable and continuous electricity supply, with the capacity to accommodate the substantial power requirements of large-scale manufacturing and technology projects.
Such capabilities are particularly important for industries with high electricity consumption or stringent power continuity requirements, including data centers, electronics and semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, equipment production, automated logistics, and other modern industrial sectors.
In addition to grid electricity, the COSMOPARK ecosystem benefits from a 200 MW solar power plant that has been operational since 2019, with a planned capacity expansion to approximately 562 MW by 2030. The combination of high-capacity grid electricity and large-scale solar power provides a differentiated energy foundation, designed to support operational reliability and substantial power demand while promoting greater integration of clean and renewable energy into industrial activities.
This advantage is increasingly relevant to foreign-invested enterprises (FDI) seeking to fulfill global commitments related to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) standards, Net Zero targets, greenhouse gas emissions reduction, and the reduction of carbon footprints across their supply chains.
BEYOND POWER AVAILABILITY – ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE FOR LONG-TERM INVESTMENT
COSMOPARK's strategic differentiation extends beyond the availability of electricity.
Its energy development approach focuses on four key elements:
• High Power Capacity: Supporting industrial projects with substantial electricity requirements.
• Supply Stability: A planned 220/110/22 kV transformer infrastructure designed to support continuous industrial operations.
• Renewable Energy Integration: Leveraging the advantages of large-scale solar power generation.
• Carbon Reduction Orientation: Supporting enterprises in progressively advancing their ESG commitments and Net Zero objectives.
Looking ahead, as carbon markets and related regulatory frameworks continue to evolve, the ability to access and verify renewable energy consumption will become increasingly important for corporate emissions management, sustainability reporting, and participation in carbon credit-related mechanisms.
A DIFFERENTIATED ADVANTAGE IN INDUSTRIAL INVESTMENT LOCATION SELECTION
With a strategic focus on integrating high-capacity grid electricity and renewable energy resources, COSMOPARK Eco Industrial Zone aims to develop a comprehensive energy infrastructure platform that supports investors’ operational requirements, production expansion, and long-term sustainability objectives.
This competitive advantage not only strengthens COSMOPARK’s ability to attract high-value industrial investments but also enables enterprises to develop long-term investment strategies, progressively transition toward cleaner energy sources, and meet ESG standards across global supply chains. Through its integrated energy infrastructure development strategy, COSMOPARK is positioning itself as a promising industrial investment destination in Vietnam, supporting businesses in achieving sustainable growth, operational efficiency, and long-term development goals.
