DA NANG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO BE INAUGURATED IN LATE MARCH
By March 29, Da Nang International Airport will be completed, welcoming the first flight and then operating on a trial basis from April to September 2017. Construction of a new terminal at Da Nang International Airport is scheduled to be completed to serve foreign passengers, especially delegates to meetings held within the framework of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Year 2017.
The construction of the terminal began in November 2015 with a total investment of VND3,504 billion on an area of 21,000 square meters.
The project comprises three main components: an international passenger terminal, an overpass and a parking area.
The 48,000 sq.m terminal has a designed capacity of 4 million passengers each year by 2025 and provides parking space for over 400 automobiles.
The new Da Nang International Airport is set up under Decision No 3066/QĐ-BGTVT approving the revised master plan of Da Nang International Airport up to 2020 with a vision towards 2030.
