GOV’T PROPOSES REDUCING INCOME TAX BY 30% FOR BUSINESS WITH REVENUE OF VND10 BLN

The Government is preparing to submit to the National Assembly a proposal to reduce income tax by 30 percent in the 2026–2027 period for business households, individuals, and enterprises with annual revenue up to VND 10 billion (US$381,621).

The Government also proposes a 30 percent reduction in personal income tax for micro-enterprises with annual revenues of up to VND 10 billion in 2026 and 2027.

In addition, the Government will submit a proposal to raise the annual revenue threshold for business households and individuals applying the simplified tax from VND 3 billion to VND 10 billion.

The proposals aim to address difficulties faced by business households and individuals, reduce the time and costs, and ease concerns about compliance with tax, accounting, and invoicing regulations.

It will be incorporated into amendments and supplements to the Law on Support for Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises (amended), which will be submitted to the National Assembly for consideration and approval at its second sitting in next October.
