A LAVISH LUNAR NEW YEAR AT THE REVERIE SAIGON
The Reverie Saigon is presenting a stylish and sophisticated Lunar New Year with a feast of traditional Chinese delicacies and Vietnamese-French fusion cuisine presented by celebrity chef Luke Nguyen.
The Royal Pavilion, the premier Cantonese restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City, is featuring two sumptuous banquet menus, for four or eight people respectively, or alternatively you can opt for the equally delightful a la carte selections. All of these menus are available from 15 January to 8 February.
The eight-course banquet for 16,898,000++ per table of eight people features delicacies such as bird’s nest and abalone Lohei, steamed grouper fillets with home-made soya sauce, and deep-fried crispy chicken.
The six-course banquet for four people is 9,888,000++ per table and includes stewed abalone with fish maw with melon and conpoy, steamed grouper fillets with mushroom and Chinese ham, and crab meat fried rice with ginger.
The highlight of the a la carte menu is undoubtedly the Abalone Lohei (1,380,000++), an imperious combination of abalone, duck meat, carrots, turnip, mango, pomelo, taro, white sesame seeds, peanuts, pickled ginger, fried shredded ginger, shredded lemon and cucumber. Other standouts include double-boiled imperial bird’s nest with red dates, braised pig’s knuckle with seasonal vegetables, and deep-fried sesame balls stuffed with pistachio.
Meanwhile, for a special new year treat on 24 January from 7.00pm until midnight, the effortlessly elegant Café Cardinal will be hosting a buffet dinner featuring free flow Prosecco including three course set menu freshly prepared from the kitchen for 1,688,000++ per person.
On the occasion, the restaurant is launching celebrity chef Luke Nguyen’s five–course set dinner featuring modern Vietnamese-French fusion cuisine. Explore modern takes on classic French dishes including bouillabaisse combined with Vietnamese herbs and spices or pan-seared scallops served with pumpkin puree and brown XO sauce. this unique dining experience is priced at 1,888,000++, or 2,688,000++per person with wine pairing, only at Café Cardinal.
Finally, The Long @ Times Square will be opened for extended hours over the new year period, from 23 to 28 January you can enjoy casual drinks and authentic Neapolitan pizza from 8.00am to 1.00am.
