Việt Nam must establish a robust legal framework to manage and protect personal data in order to drive its digital economic growth while ensuring the privacy and rights of its citizens, experts said.
VIETNAM’S JAN-OCT RETAIL SALES GROW 9.4% Y-O-Y
Vietnam’s retail sales of consumer goods and services expanded by 9.4% year-on-year in the first 10 months of this year, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO). In October alone, sales revenue of consumer goods and services amounted to an estimated VND536.3 trillion, a 1.5% rise over the previous month and a 7% increase against the same period last year.

Deputy head of the Land Department under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment Lê Văn Bình says the Land Law when adopted will ensure that ethnic minority groups living in remote and mountainous regions can lead stable lives and have the necessary conditions for socio-economic development.
DIGITAL FINANCIAL SERVICES ON UPWARD TREND IN VIETNAM
The report highlights a steep growth in Vietnam's digital financial services on top of a low base. Digital payments are estimated to reach of $126 billion in 2023 in gross transaction value (GTV), up 19 per cent from $105 billion in 2022. By 2030, digital payments in Vietnam is predicted to reach $190 billion in GTV.
EU RELEASES $23 MILLION FUND FOR CLEAN ENERGY IN VIETNAM
