HCMC CUTS HOUSING APPROVAL TIME TO 15 DAYS
The time needed for completing housing approval procedures in HCMC has been reduced to 15 days from the previous 57 days, Nguyen Toan Thang, director of the municipal Natural Resources and Environment, told a meeting today in the city.
The meeting on administrative reform was attended by HCMC Party chief Nguyen Thien Nhan.
Thang was quoted by the local media as saying that the department has introduced multiple solutions to simplify housing approval procedures, such as leveraging information and technology, launching a one-door system for land management in the city and teaming up with tax agencies through online connections.
Also, it is collaborating with the HCMC Department of Construction in terms of conducting the housing registration process, granting certificates of land use rights and registering the ownership of houses and land-related properties in a simplified manner. As a result, it handled 207 housing cases within 15 days each in 2018.
To serve local residents better with simplified administrative procedures, Thang proposed that ministries and agencies remove 35 obstacles involving land, previously reported by the city, while authorizing agencies to reduce the time needed for housing approval procedures.
Responding to the proposal, the Party Chief asked the Natural Resources and Environment Department to keep executing the administrative reform to minimize the number of housing procedures for residents.
