VIETNAM’S EXPORTS TO U.S. HIT RECORD HIGH OF OVER US$126 BILLION
Vietnam’s exports to the U.S. reached more than US$126 billion in the first 10 months of the year, the highest level on record and up nearly 28% from the same period in 2024. According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, the U.S. accounted for over 30% of the country’s total export value, reinforcing its role as Vietnam’s largest export market and a key driver of trade growth heading into 2026.
VIETNAM–CPTPP TRADE SURGES 20.6% IN JAN-OCT
Trade between Vietnam and member countries of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) reached US$102.8 billion in the first ten months of this year, up 20.6% year-on-year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade. After more than six years of implementation, the CPTPP has become a key driver of Vietnam’s export growth, helping local industries expand their market presence across member economies.
FERTILISER PRODUCERS POST RECORD PROFITS IN Q3
Việt Nam's fertiliser industry has reported impressive growth in the third quarter of 2025 with several companies achieving record profits due to a robust recovery in the prices of key products such as DAP, urea and NPK. TEXTILE, GARMENT EXPORTS ESTIMATED TO HIT $46 BILLION IN 2025
Việt Nam’s textile and garment industry is expected to achieve export revenues of US$46 billion in 2025, marking a 5.6 per cent increase compared to 2024. The Việt Nam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS) announced these positive performances at a press conference held in Hà Nội on November 25 to introduce a meeting of the association’s seventh term during 2025-2030, and the industry review conference to be held in December.
VIETNAM PRIORITIZES PLAN TO KEEP FULL-YEAR CPI GROWTH AT 3.3%
The Ministry of Finance outlined two CPI scenarios for 2025, projecting average growth of either 3.3% or 3.5%, based on expected price pressures and factors that could ease them in the remaining months. Phoc asked ministries and local authorities to focus on maintaining CPI growth at the lower level while tightening oversight of essential goods such as electricity, water, and food.
VIỆT NAM EARNS $1.1 BILLION FROM SHRIMP EXPORTS TO CHINA
Shrimp exports to China and Hong Kong reached US$1.1 billion in the first 10 months of this year, marking a significant rise of 64 per cent, the highest growth among all markets. The market recorded an export value of $140 million in October alone, the highest ever recorded, according to the latest report by the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).
UPBEAT PICTURE DRAWN FOR GROWTH IN M&AS
According to a 2025 global report from Boston Consulting Group (BCG) published in the last days of October, the total value of global merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions reached $1.94 trillion in the first nine months of the year, up 10 per cent from the same period in 2024. Despite lingering headwinds such as shifting United States tariff policies as well as geopolitical tensions, this marks the second consecutive year of growth and the strongest performance since 2022.
VIETNAMESE ENTERPRISES RACE TOWARDS AI ADOPTION
While Vietnam is rapidly emerging as an AI-ready economy with strong digital ambition, industry leaders caution that successful adoption depends less on new technologies and more on the capability to govern, operate, and integrate them. At the Vietnam Future Economy Summit by Bloomberg Businessweek Vietnam on November 14, experts stressed that AI must be applied with measurable value and strategic purpose – or risk becoming a costly and ineffective investment.
