The new Law shall take effect from September 1, 2016, replacing the Law on Export & Import Duties No. 45/2005/QH11. WB CUTS VIETNAM€™S 2016 GROWTH FORECAST TO 6.2%
[13-04-2016] The World Bank has revised down its 2016 growth forecast for Vietnam to 6.2% from the earlier projected 6.5%. Sandeep Mahajan, lead economist of the WB in Vietnam, said Vietnam’s projected growth would moderate to 6.2% due to slower private consumption and investment growth.

GARMENT INDUSTRY TRAINING FUNDED
[11-04-2016] The Government has offered financial support to the Viet Nam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) for training the labour force in the textile and garment industry this year. The funds worth of VND63.5 billion (US$2.9 million) would come from the State budget for education and training activities, reported the Dau Tu (Investment) online.
CREDIT REDIRECTED TO PRODUCTION, BUSINESS

In the latest report on prospects of the banking industry released this week, analysts of Vietcombank Securities (VCBS) forecast that credit growth this year would be roughly 16 per cent, lower than the 18 per cent rate of last year, because credit would focus more on production and business.
