VIETNAM TAPS AI TO CONNECT MILLIONS OF WORKERS WITH EMPLOYERS

Vietnam launches its first national job exchange platform, using artificial intelligence to match job vacancies with workers’ skills and experience - PHOTO: H.T
HCMC – Vietnam’s Ministry of Home Affairs on April 14 launched a national job exchange at vieclam.gov.vn, a key digital platform designed to directly connect more than 53.6 million workers with nearly one million businesses.
The platform goes beyond a conventional job portal, positioning itself as a nationwide data-integrated ecosystem. Its technological highlight is the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to automatically analyze and match job vacancies with workers’ skills and experience. This AI-driven matching is expected to significantly reduce search time and cost for both employers and job seekers, long-standing barriers in a fragmented labor market.
With nearly one million enterprises and millions of business households seeking skilled workers, improving transparency in labor market data through a centralized platform is expected to boost the country’s competitiveness.
From a regulatory perspective, the platform provides real-time data for authorities to track labor mobility trends, enabling more accurate workforce forecasting and training policies. For workers, it offers tools to build professional profiles and access job opportunities regardless of location, helping unlock human capital for economic growth in the digital era.
