Manufacturing issues have only grown more complex, manufacturers now find themselves under pressure for more rapid change to optimize costs, quality and efficiency. "Vietnam Manufacturing Expo (VME) 2017" will come back as its 9th edition from 26 - 28 April, 2017 at Hanoi International Center For Exhibition (I.C.E., Hanoi) and focus on the “manufacturing intelligence” to serve current call.
CREDIT GROWS STRONGLY IN JAN
HCMC - Banks have said credit in the banking system expanded 2.18% in January, much higher than in the same month of previous years. In January last year, credit declined 0.2% compared to December 2015. Credit at the end of the first quarter last year grew 1.54% against late 2015. The credit growth target for this year is about 18%, the same as in 2016.
PROPERTY MARKET: CAUTIOUS INVESTORS
In the first two months of 2017, the Vietnamese real estate market has not experienced major changes. It even witnessed a slight decline in deals from late 2016. The market development has fuelled investors with anxiety because many specialists have warned against potential hardships in 2017.
FDI IN REAL ESTATE EXPECTS BREAKTHROUGHS
According to statistics of the Foreign Investment Agency (FIA), Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam, in January 2017, the country attracted US$1.4 billion of foreign direct investment (FDI), of which the real estate industry attracted US$297 million (21.2 per cent of the total FDI), ranking 2nd only to the processing and manufacturing industry.
BINH DUONG NEEDS 22,700 LABOURERS IN EARLY 2017
Enterprises in Bình Dương’s southern industrial hub are seeking 22,700 workers to participate in a job fair held on Sunday. According to Nguyễn Thanh Phương, deputy director of the local job service centre, participating firms need over 22,700 labourers - 21,000 manual workers and over 1,600 professionals.
FEE COLLECTION AT HAI PHONG PORTS IS LEGAL: PEOPLE’S COMMITTEE
The collection of fees for the use of infrastructure, service facilities and public utilities at all ports in northern Hai Phong City is as per the laws and regulations. The municipal People’s Committee released a document on Tuesday affirming that the collection had adequate legal foundation.
HCM CITY TO LAUNCH FIRST RIVER-BUS SERVICE
HCM City plans in June to launch the first river bus transport service connecting Bạch Đằng Wharf in District 1 with Thủ Đức District, and a second route in September from Bạch Đằng Wharf to District 8.
VIETNAM AIMS TO QUICKEN ELECTRICITY SECTOR RESTRUCTURING
