MEXICO OPENS NEW SEA ROUTE TO VN
[22-06-2016] The Port of Lazaro Cardenas (LCT), the largest Mexican container port, launched routes to Viet Nam and Chile on June 21 which will save up from 13 to 18 days of transit. According to Alfredco Huesca, the LCT general manager, the sea routes will be operated through an alliance between Trade Link Pacifico and Kansas City Southern de Mexico (KCSM) rail companies.

HANOI FINDS INVESTORS FOR 43 PROJECTS
[17-06-2016] The government of Hanoi City is finding investors for 43 projects planned for implementation this year at a total cost of VND372.25 trillion (US$16.6 billion). Of the projects, the capital city needs a combined VND316.8 trillion for 10 projects to upgrade and build apartment buildings in Cau Giay, Ba Dinh, Dong Da, Hai Ba Trung and Hoang Mai districts.
EXPORT GROWTH SLOWS DOWN
[16-06-2016] According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, by May 15, total exports and imports of Vietnam reached US$117 billion, up 0.8 percent compared to the same period of 2015. Thus, Vietnam has a trade surplus of US$1.23 billion, of which FDI enterprises contribute to 70 percent of export value.
